I don't enjoy the feeling of being pulled in different directions all at once, including my own. Why can't things be simpler? Why does everyone I can make my own choice when really I don't, for multiple reasons? Why must we be bound by so many physical and emotional limitations and end up pleasing everyone else but ourselves?

Maybe, as Mich said, we're literally chained to this world we're born in. There's only this much freedom we're accorded. When all the difficulties close in on me and grab me by the neck, I just wish I could get away from it all. If I ever could that is.
