Migration confirmed
So, it's official. H and I will be moving to Tampines in about 2.5 years. *waves to the east-siders*
After 2 hours at the Premiere showflat today, we finally decided to go for it. This has to be the MOST adult purchase of our lives. (Think lots of $$$$$$) H was so nervous he asked me how to spell "feefty" when he was writing out the cheque.
But it was probably the best decision of our lives, even with our limited budget. We couldn't stop talking about it after leaving the place.
"Let's get some rattan chairs for the balcony..." "How do we hide the ugly bomb shelter?" "What should we put in the 3rd bedroom?" "Let's have a cushioned window bay so we can read..."
I've never been more keen on busying myself with details.
With an aim now, it gets easier to prioritise when it comes to money. It may suck sometimes, knowing that we can't splurge on gadgets and overseas trips as and when we want it, but this life together is more precious than anything else we could ever have.
I can't wait the day when we can have friends over as house guests, when we can have a bbq/steamboat at the balcony, chill over homemade cocktails or maybe have a mahjong session. =p
So if you're my friend and you're reading this right now, start thinking about the housewarming gift okay! *just kidding*
